to construct a clasp purlin roof using traditional methods, tools and
trees
- Discover
and practice
traditional carpentry techniques
- Gain
experience of laying out and cutting a frame from scale plans and
drawings
- Work
with locally sourced green oak timbers
- Get
involved in the construction of our vernacular style building - the
reinstatement of our 1580 Long House
- Work
in
a small group to build a roof frame
- Experience
our off-grid site (no power tools)
- Learn
how to use
traditional hand tools
- Practice
a wide range of skills that you will find transfer well into your own
projects
