Gardening with Nature - FREE mini workshops 2021



Thanks to funding from the Frank Jackson Foundation we are able to run a series of practical, family friendly, fun workshops. These will be held OUTSIDE in the old orchard and community supported vegetable growing area at Orchard Barn.

Workshops will be on Saturdays or Tuesdays from April through to September.

Sessions will be lead by professionals in the areas covered.

Timing will be 11-1 or 2-4

Workshops will include:-

Mini-Beast Identification and Wild Bee Cob Block making (to take home) April 24th (now full) or June 5th

Raised Bed construction to include Greenwood working making a plant label (to take home) May 8th or 11th

Composting - including setting up a Worm Compost Palace June 12th or 15th

Little known uses for Nettles - including making string to take home July 10th

Deadwood screen construction - including some Greenwood working July 13th

Apple harvest and pressing September 4th or 7th

Tree Identification in the old orchard, collecting  seeds from some of our trees and starting a tree nursery - take a planted Hazel or Walnut seed home 25th or 28th September
