Learn
the basics of
sculpting a relief onto a pre-existing earth wall with cob, a traditional
building material made from a mix of clay, sand and straw (sometimes
animal
hair and other fibres).
You will also learn
how to integrate other natural and recycled materials into a relief cob
wall,
make your own basic sculpting tools, as well as the process of
preparing the
materials and mixing the cob.
All tools will be provided,
however you are welcome to bring your own.

work made by Jue Sota.

Jue
Sota is a craftsperson, artist and natural builder, she
has been building and sculpting with clay and other natural materials
since
2010. She recently graduated from Straw Works School of Natural
Building and
completed a masters in Fine Art at Kingston University.
