Cob Sculpture for beginners

Learn the basics of sculpting a relief onto a pre-existing earth wall with cob, a traditional building material made from a mix of clay, sand and straw (sometimes animal hair and other fibres).

You will also learn how to integrate other natural and recycled materials into a relief cob wall, make your own basic sculpting tools, as well as the process of preparing the materials and mixing the cob.

All tools will be provided, however you are welcome to bring your own.

Below, and on the right are some examples of cob relief work made by Jue Sota.
